About The Charity – Habitat For Humanity

Habitat for Humanity Las Vegas believes in a world where everyone has a decent place to live.
By linking arms with community partners, we can change the lives of many deserving families in
our community.

The mission of Habitat for Humanity Las Vegas is to bring people together to build homes,
communities, and hope, by providing affordable housing and empowering families toward
homeownership and financial stability through partnerships with local leaders, businesses, and
the community. This is achieved by building and repairing homes, offering affordable
mortgages, and providing financial education to low-to-moderate-income families in Southern
Nevada.

Habitat For Humanity International has built or refurbished nearly 200,000 homes since it’s founding in 1976 and was a favorite charity of former President Jimmy Carter who often worked on the homes himself well into his ninth decade of life. The organization is a non-profit that never makes money on the homes it provides.

First Break Trophies!

Because we love rewarding our players, we don’t just give out a trophy at the end, we give out two trophies (and amazing gift bags) at the end of registration as well. The winner of the chip leader award was the incomparable Rebel Lynn, a staple at our events and a joy to have in the room. The winner for the most rebuys, and thus the most generous donator of the evening, was won by Michael Russell who is also pictured here with his string of 50/50 raffle tickets. Thank you for your incredible generosity Michael!
